3/10/25 I had lunch here with a friend, and we were greeted and seated promptly. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making for a great first impression. We started with the queso chips as an appetizer, which were a tasty way to kick off the meal. For my entrée, I had the steak with French fries and a side salad, while my friend ordered the quinoa shrimp coleslaw dish. Both meals were delicious, with generous portions--plenty to take home for dinner. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely return in the future!
You can't go wrong with the food selections and quality! The ambience is very romantic and the service is top notch!
J. Alexander's was exactly what I needed on a Wednesday night. It wasn't my first time there, but I haven't been in a while and it was my first time at this location. I sat at the bar and had the pleasure of having Gab as my bartender/server. The bar seating was pretty packed for a Wednesday night, but luckily I was able to find a seat. Gab recommended great drink and food options. I opted for a spicy margarita and it was great. For food, I was a bit overwhelmed by the choices but Gab guided me in the right direction. I had the steak tacos and fries and enjoyed every bit of it. Everything was delicious. If you're looking for a solid restaurant in the Lexington area, check them out!
Food and service great! I sat at the bar for the first time, did not like how High the bar counter was, very uncomfortable to eat when your plate is level with your neck. Needs to be redesigned!!!
We had our company Christmas dinner here on Saturday night. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were all fantastic. We started off with the Deviled Eggs and Calamari. I had the Filet Mignon with Béarnaise and Loaded Baked Potato. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. My wife had the Carolina Crab Cakes. Others in our group had the Grilled Pork Tenderloin, Steak Maui, and Seared Ahi Tuna. We were all very pleased with our choices. For cocktails I had the Spiced Pear Old Fashioned (my favorite of the two) and The 859. For dessert, several of us split the Skillet Blondie with Vanilla Ice Cream. Our service was very good considering we had a group of 9. All of our food came out together and no one had to wait on theirs. On another note, our 8yr old grandson and I had interaction with Richard. He was very personable and made our grandson's night just talking about what he wanted for Christmas.
Good blacked salmon! Side note: Their homemade croutons are unique and yummy! The burger was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Service was great and professional. Ambiance was high end and great for corporate dinners.
The food - was full of flavor I give it 5 stars. The service- waiter Johnny asked if we had ever been to J.Alexander's before and we said no, so he suggested some things on the menu which was great. I wasn't sure what to drink and he suggested a very nice cocktail for me that I enjoyed very much. Thank you to Johnny for making our experience. Wonderful I would definitely recommend J. Alexander.
Visiting Lexington for the weekend and wanted to eat somewhere in the summit. I chose here it was somewhere new. I ate at the bar and had a yummy pear martini and the best deviled eggs. The eggs had bacon and their homemade pickle relish. Yummy. The bartenders were fantastic and very attentive Great choice on my part
